Review: I love these handmade invitations because they're layered. They're more than just printing on paper. They're paper on paper, as well as ribbon, feathers and beads on paper. You can even get mailing boxes to insure that your invitations don't get crushed. Prices seem to be $4 to 8$ "per invitation", meaning 50 invites would come to $200 to $400. |

Review: When I realized that this site sold Invitation Scrolls my first thought was "How would you mail that?" As I investigated further, I discovered that they sell the mailing tubes their mini scrolls will fit into. The mini scrolls are about 5" wide, and 9" long when unrolled. They also have larger scrolls you can use for your vows, or as a guest book. The Scrolls are available blank or printed and printing is available by hand or by computer. Prices for the Invitation Scrolls start around $7.50 each for printed scrolls, and 5.50 for blank scrolls. |

Review: I chose to include this site on the list because they have informal, colorful invitations with lots of graphics. If you're looking for an invitation with lots of flowers on it -look here. Unfortunately, some of the invitations are a little busy, and some fall into the cutesy category. These invitations can be purchased blank and printed at home -or you can have them printed for you. The prices for 50 invitations seem to range from $30 to $100. |

Review: If you're looking for simple with a splash of color, this site has it. It you're looking for something REALLY different, take a look at the invitation boxes. My favorite is the Wine Box Invitation -but I assume pricing is through the roof. Dauphine Press has preset designs for you to choose from, that you can customize as you see fit. You can choose the paper, the graphics, the font and add nifty extras like pocket folders, ribbons and charms. I also like that they will design & print maps that match the style of your invitation. Prices for 50 one color invitations starts around $616, and can be as much as $924 for 50 three color invitations. |

Review: Lots of color, lots of graphics, and some very interesting designs to choose from. There is an invitation with a roller coaster picture, and another with little kids & a motorcycle. They also have some licensed Disney invitations. The best stuff is in the "Something Different" and "Unique" sections. Pricing ranges anywhere from $113 to $400. |

Review: Simple, colorful and hip -that's how I'd describe girl metro's invitation collection. Use their designs or customize them to get the look you want. As I'm writing this there are only about 14 styles to choose from, but the customization option makes up for it. Prices for 50 invitation sets range from $570 to $650. However "sets" include the invitation, envelope and a response postcard. Some companies charge separately for the envelopes and the postcards, so keep that in mind when comparing prices. |

Review: This site has very everything from simple, pearl on white invitations to a deep brown invitation with bright yellow flowers & text (This one is in the Kate Spade Collection). I liked the selection they have more than just pastels to choose from. I also really love some of the woodcut graphics they use. Prices for a pack of 50 personalized invitations start around $170 and get as high as $400. Be careful if you click on anything called "ensemble" or "set", those prices can be scary because they include the reply cards AND the place cards, AND the thank you cards. The nifty part if you can get all that stuff to match. |

Review: I like this site because you can customize the graphics and layout as well as the text. The interface is detailed, but may be a little complicated. Plus, they have a large clip art gallery that you can pick from. They also make custom stamps which can be a HUGE help when addressing the envelopes. Prices for 100 invitations seem to range from $50 to $200. |

Review: Ellen Forney is a graphic artist who writes / draws comics. AND she was Awarded Seattle Bride Magazine's Best of 2006 for the Hippest Invitations. Basically she creates a personalized invitation that is a portrait of you and your SO. Rather than try to describe her style, I encourage you to go take a look. The examples on the website rock. If you're interested in what you see, you'll have to get in touch with her for pricing. She doesn't print the invitations, but instead gives you the original portrait. However the website also says she'll help you work out the printing details if necessary. |

Review: This site was designed to give you exactly what you want. They do this effectively because they sell you everything you need, and you can print and build the invitations yourself. You can choose from the preset styles or mix and match to get what you want. There is a custom printing option, but that adds a flat fee of at least $250 to your order. The invitations themselves end up costing about $1 each. Your actual bill will include all of the various elements. Enough paper for 50 invitations can cost from $10 to $24. Then you add your design elements, which is $5 here, $10 there. So, yes, the invitations can cost less than $1 each at the end, but be sure to look at everything you need to get an accurate price. |

Review: This designer has wedding invitations made just for goths! I found bats, and gargoyles, and spiders amongst her wedding invitation designs as well as some tamer medieval work. The work in the invitation section is mostly black and white, but some of her greeting cards have color. She will also do custom work if you like her style but don't see exactly what you want. When you place an order, you'll basically be paying to reprint the designs as you wedding invitation. The artist, Mela, will send the file for the artwork to the printer of your choosing so you'll have to pay for printing separately. The price to use one of her graphics is only about $20 - $50. (Read the "Design Usage Policy" for more details.) |

Review: VistaPrint lets you choose from preset designs OR upload a design of your own. I used VistaPrint for my 2nd Wedding Reception, and 2 years of anniversary party invitations. All three occasions I was happy with the final product. The first year I used their templates, and the next two years I uploaded designs I made in Photoshop. They all looked great. Prices for 50 invites can be as low as $29.99 before shipping and handling. |

Review: This is the site I got my invitations from. I came across their "Jade" invitation and simply stopped looking at invitations. It was exactly what I wanted... but the rest of the site is kinda... normal. I've included them because they have really nice invitations and they were a breeze to work with. Definitely worth a look, but they don't have anything that will, say, make your grandmother faint. Prices for 75 invitations ranged from $100 to $200. |

Review: On one end of the spectrum this site has a large number of simple, formal wedding invitations. The simplest of the bunch cost around $60 for 50 invites. On the other end of the spectrum there are simple, formal Vera Wang invitations that cost about $753 for 50 invitations. Somewhere in between these extremes, there are some really neat designs. There are 80 brands to choose from on this site, so you may have to dig a bit to find the good stuff. If you have the time and the patience it's certainly worth the look. |

Review: Melissa Benson is a name many gamers recognize because her artwork has been used for a number of CCGs, most notably Magic The Gathering. What I discovered through her website, is that she has made a number of her pieces available through Zazzle.com where they can be printed as invitations or postage stamps. (See separate review for Zazzle in the DIY section.) Through Zazzle you can add your own text to the inside of a card, and even upload additional graphics. Melissa's website even says she will tweak pictures for you if you're looking for a specific colored border. 50 invitations cost $84.50 before shipping and handling. Melissa Benson also does artwork on commission with prices starting at $80 for simple black and white pictures, or $300 for work with color. |

Review: Ok, so Miss Manner's would probably have a heart attack if you used Evite.com for your wedding invitations... but what about the bachelor party, informal bridal showers, or the rehearsal dinner? Depending how formal you want things to be (and how computer literate your friends and family are) Evite is a really easy and affordable way to plan a get together. |

Review: This invitation search engine lets you set the criteria for your search. You can set the occasion, your price range (discount, mid-range, and premium), Preferred style (Formal or Informal) and zip code. It only searches for stores participating in their network, but it's an interesting way to sort through them all. |
